Commemoration

Due to the ceremony of 500 years back Trubar's birth, the year 2008 was proclaimed the Year of Primož Trubar by the Government of Slovenia and the ceremony was broadly acclaimed throughout the country.8 A €2 commemorative coin9 and a postage brand had been issued.1011 Starting in 2011, 8 June is actual in Slovenia as the Primož Trubar Day (according to some sources, this is the day of his birth).12
